How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" Romans 10:14-15

           
    At Agape Baptist Church we believe that it is the calling of each and every believer to live a life that is representative of their Savior Jesus Christ. This calling is to be fulfilled by us everyday, as we show the love of Christ to our co-workers, friends, family, schoolmates… WHOEVER we come in contact with. We believe that this is the Great Commission: fulfilling the command of Christ (Matthew 28:19-20) in our lives, wherever we may be. This command is not about a specific time or a specific place, but instead it is about a lifestyle. The truth is that God will give us opportunities to show the love of Christ to someone else on the other side of the world, and He will also give us the same opportunity on the other side of our street. We are to take advantage of all He gives us. Jesus was in essence telling us in Matthew: ‘as you go in life’ help others learn about me.

 We also believe that the New Testament shows us many examples of believers coming together and pooling their resources (time, talent, finances, etc..) to intentionally GO and spread the love of Christ to their local communities, regions and to the rest of the world. God tells us in the Bible that His name ‘will be great among the nations’, and He desires to use us to fulfill His purposes. At Agape, we simply want to be a part of His work, taking advantage of the resources that He gives us as a church family for HIS GLORY.
