The Nest – A monthly ministry to the homeless of downtown Birmingham that ministers to both physical and spiritual needs. Click Here for more information.

Benevolence Our benevolence ministry provides financial assistance to those experiencing difficult times. Help may be given to purchase gas or pay a power or water bill. We’ve also provided funds to help purchase medication and school supplies. For information on how to help or receive assistance, please contact our church office.

Food Pantry
– Our food pantry provides food for anyone needing it. Agape is blessed to be able to purchase food from the United Way each month and provide that food to 100 - 200 needy people a month. We also use this opportunity to show God's love in a practical way. For information on how to help or receive assistance, please contact our church office.

Olivia’s House – We provide transportation to women and children living at Olivia’s House to our Sunday worship service. For families who choose to stay in our community after they leave Olivia’s House, we offer assistance in helping them set up housekeeping.

International... Mission Opportunities

Romania Agape Baptist Church began ministering in Romania in 1995. We helped to plant a church in the village of Toufini. At that time less than 1% of the population in that area were Christians. Currently we provide financial support to 3 ministries in Romania: Estera House (crisis pregnancy center), Dr. Oana (provides medical treatment to the street children), and Pastor Viorel (church planter). We take teams to Romania as the Lord leads.

Belize We began ministering in Belize in 2000, when our Pastor was asked to come and teach in the minister's school. Since then we’ve sent medical teams three times. Currently we provide financial support to the ongoing training at the pastor's school. We work through missionaries Wayne and Glenda Anderson.

Africa Daniel and Angela Underwood, missionaries from Agape, are currently ministering in Africa. They plan to be there for at least two years, and it is our desire to send teams to work with the Underwood's once they are settled. Daniel and Angela produce a monthly newsletter to keep us up to date on their ministry. You can download this newsletter from our online resource page.

Other places we have sent teams: China, Peru and Thailand
