At Agape, Missions plays a vital role
in how we serve our God. We believe that sharing Christ with others is one of
the reasons we are here. In order to love Him we must love others. God showed us
his love through the sacrifice of His son.
A major cornerstone of our Christian faith is John 3:16. We as Christians have to decide if we believe that Christ did come, die, and was raised from the dead for every single person on this earth. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believed in Him would not perish but have everlasting life” - this is the truth that will save the world.
I believe that every person we come in contact with should be given the opportunity to hear this truth. I have been around the world and back a few times and God has given me many opportunities to take His love and truth to people of every race, nationality, and religion. But it was only then I realized that what He intended was for me to walk out of my home every day and show His love and share the truth of His salvation to everyone that He places in my path.
Through missions at Agape Baptist Church, God has stretched and used me in many ways. I have seen many miracles and prayers answered at this little church on the hill. It is my goal while I am here to continue to do this mighty work He has called us all to do.
You might be thinking that you are not capable to do this task, and you would be right. We can’t do it of ourselves - only with the power of the Holy Spirit. We just have to be willing to be the vessel. For those who may be reading this and need help, please contact me through the link provided and we at Agape will do all we can to help you meet not only the physical needs you may have but also the emotional and spiritual.
If you want to know the
truth about this John 3:16 thing, please
contact someone at the church so we can share with you the freedom found in
Christ. It really does not matter who you are, what you have done, where you
have been, or even how long you have been doing it - He died for you and that is
all that matters.
In His Love
