Our Agape family has been blessed with the opportunity to travel to many places to share the love of Christ in a real and tangible way. Below you will find information from just a few of our more recent trips. To find out more you can contact our Missions Director here - or better still come and join us for worship to see how God is using Agape to be a part of His work all over the world.

Traveling to the Andrew P. Stewart Center in Atlanta has become an annual mission trip for our youth. In the summer of 2006 and 2007, the youth went to Georgia to minister to underprivileged kids and show them the love of Christ in a real way. For more information and pictures on these trips, we invite you to visit our youth page by going here.

Six months after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, a team from Agape had an opportunity to go and provide assistance with the clean up efforts. Working with Samaritan's Purse, a group of 11 traveled to Gretna, LA where they were housed in a local community center. Each day the team was given an assignment, ranging from removing trees on rooftops to 'gutting' houses that had been flooded from the storm. At each location, a Bible was given to the families as a reminder that the team was not there on their own, but sent to show God's love and hope to a city that desperately needed it.

Agape Baptist Church began ministering in Romania in 1995, when we helped to plant a church in the village of Toufini.  At that time, less than 1% of the population in that area were Christian. We take teams to Romania as the Lord leads and in March 2006, eight members of our Agape family
traveled to Romania to help minister to people both physically and spiritually. The week was spent teaching (and playing with) children, preaching to the adults and holding medical clinics for those in need. This amazing team gave all of their hearts in sharing the love of Christ with all the people they had the opportunity to meet.

In May of 2006, Agape's former Pastor Cary Duckett had an opportunity to travel to Kenya in order to minister to those in need and also bring encouragement to Daniel (our resident missionary in Africa). Pastor Cary enjoyed the opportunity to meet several of our brothers and sisters in Christ as well as spend time with Daniel. He even brought back a souvenir - a bite from a monkey.
